Event Description: Carrboro 10K is the second race of the 10th Annual Le Tour de Carrboro race series.
Awards: Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female winners in the following categories: Open and Masters (40+), 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-55, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+. Open and Masters winners are not eligible for age group awards. Standing prize money for course records (male and female): $50
Course Info: The race begins in front of McDougle Middle School, winds through Carrboro neighborhoods, and finishes on the McDougle track. Course map: http://www.usatf.org/routes/view.asp?rID=24990
Packet Pickup: At Fleet Feet Sports in Carrboro.
Registration & Policies: Race registration will be available at packet pickup and race day morning. Race entries are not transferable, i.e. you cannot give your bib number to someone else. Baby joggers/strollers are permitted, but please position yourself near the back of the start area.
For Kids!: The Carrboro Kids Classic is FREE for children aged 2-9, and will be held after the 10K race. Participants will be divided into age groups 2-3 (50 yards), 4-5 (100 yards), and 6-7, 8-9 (200 yards) and will race on the McDougle Track. All kids will receive finisher ribbons. There is no pre-registration, but parents must sign a release form before the events. Also, join us before or during the race at the family activity area and enjoy chalk drawing, jump ropes, hula hoops and more!
Community Partners: Net proceeds from Le Tour de Carrboro events are distributed at the end of the year to our Community Partners.
