The Riverfront Race Festival is proud to present the 1st annual Charleston Marathon and Half Marathon (www.riverfrontracefestival.com), on January 15th 2011. The event will benefit the R. Keith and Deborah C. Summey Youth Endowment for the Arts (www.YEAendowment.org )

The race courses are flat and scenic, winding through beautiful downtown Charleston, the historic Charleston Naval Shipyard, now the Navy Yard at Noisette, and the revitalized downtown North Charleston and Park Circle Areas. Performance groups from the area and our schools will dot the length of the course along with water and first-aid stations.

Festivities include a running and fitness expo, pre-race pasta dinner and a post-race celebration at Riverfront Park. Capping off the weekend activities, will be a 30 and 62 mile bike ride on Sunday, January 16th, organized by Charleston Moves.
